- Obtaining the pastor’s permission to conduct a ‘BLITZ’
- Advertise the ‘Blitz” in the parish bulletin, local/diocesan newspapers,
local access TV
- Get the priest onboard as a membership recruitment assistant, he will be
your council’s ‘Top Recruiter’
|

- Line up members to assist with the ‘Blitz’ - VIP’s, officer’s, etc.
- Inform the insurance representatives about the dates of the recruitment
drive
- Order recruitment materials from the Supreme Council Supply Department
(Allow 4 - 5 weeks for delivery)

- Before each Mass, set up information tables at every door of the Church.
- Have plenty of prospect cards, Forms 100 and pencils to distribute to
each man as they enter the Church.

- With the pastor’s permission, arrange for a BRIEF membership recruitment
announcement to be made during Mass by either the priest or a suitable
council member.
- After Mass, have Brother Knights on hand to answer any questions and to
collect prospect referral cards and/or Forms 100 as men leave with their
families.

- Every council needs to report to their District Deputy on the number of
Form #100’s signed & how many prospect cards were completed
- DDs then report their district figures to the Diocesan Membership
Director.
- The DMD then compiles all the district figures and reports to the State
Deputy and State Membership Director.

- Each State Deputy will then report their total to their Regional Program
Consultant who will total up his regional numbers .
- Each RPC will file a report that will be reviewed by the Supreme Knight.

- Call DD with drive results Sunday evening
- Let DD know your results if you blitzed earlier
- Let DD know blitz date if you will blitz later
- Please make your phone calls and avoid unnecessary followup calls

- 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, council calls DD
- 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. DD calls Diocesan Membership Director
- 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. DMD summarizes results.
- 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. DMDs call the State Deputy and State Membership
Director
- Missing councils will be contacted. Please help us by reporting your
information.

- Within 48 HOURS, personal contact must be made with every prospect that
you collected during Phase II.
- Inform these prospects that you will be holding an informational seminar
and give them the date, location and time.
- Invite the entire family to this short seminar
|

- Offer transportation if that is a limitation
- Inform the prospect’s family of the many benefits that they receive as a
family member of a Knight of Columbus.

- This phase begins with organization!
- Have plenty of recruitment brochures about the Order and your council on
hand for prospects and their families to read.
- Request that your council’s Chaplain start the event with a prayer and
some words about the Order and its mission.

- Consider showing one of the Order’s recruitment
videos
available from the Supreme Council Department of
Fraternal Services at (203)
752-4270.
- A member of the council should make the requirements
for membership
known to those assembled and then offer each prospect a Form #100.

- Have brother Knights on hand to assist prospects in completing these
forms.
- Inform the candidates of the date of the admission committee meeting and
the next First Degree.

- Schedule a First Degree no more than 2 weeks after your
informational session.
- Contact the candidates to reminder them of the degree date and insure
they have transportation to the location.
- Order Degree Certificates from the Supreme Council Supply Department.
- Get the new members involved & explain the Shining Armor Award
Program.
