State Chaplain: Fr. Todd Lajiness
As state chaplain of the Michigan State Council of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Todd Lajiness has the responsibility of
overseeing the spiritual welfare of its 70,000 members and their families. Dean of Studies and Assistant Professor of

State Secretary: Michael J. Malinowski
As state secretary of the Michigan State Council of the Knights of Columbus, Michael J. Malinowski is its chief financial
officer and right hand man of the state deputy. Elected as state secretary in 2010, he previously served as state

State Treasurer: Robert W. Fox
State treasurer Robert W. Fox is responsible for the financial affairs of the Michigan State Council. Elected as state
treasurer in 2010, Robert became a member of the state board in 2006 when he was elected as state warden and then served

State Advocate: Kenneth B. Unterbrink
As state advocate Kenneth B. Unterbrink is the chief legal officer of the Michigan State Council and represents the state
council in all legal matters and opinions in regards to the By-Laws, Rules and Regulations of the State Council. He was
